Operation: Planning for Spring...

Even in SoCal, it gets a bit chilly and unpredictable in the "winter". Since many Commando Rock shows are outdoors, it's a bit dicey scheduling shows this time of year. We're hard at work finding venues for Spring through Fall shows and will let you know what is next (especially if you sign up for the mailing list).

In the mean time, if you believe in local music, find a band you haven't played with before and get them on an upcoming show with you. If we constantly support and help each other, we'll continually build a better environment for the local music scene.

For now, you can check out the Gallery of recent performers.

"There is no shortage of folks prepared to take advantage of musicians."

That's the thought that started it all. We're musicians and we're tired of "pay-to-play" schemes and ticket pre-sales and sound guys that want $200 when none of the bands are making a nickel and web monkeys that want $300 just to do a half-assed logo for your band. We just want to ROCK and have some fun and play our music.

We're constantly looking for new bands and new places to play. Please email us at
music@commandorock.com if you can provide a spot to play or if your band wants to perform.
